Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage and provide a range of building surveying and project management duties across multiple projects in different sectors.
- Business Development: Assist with the development of new and repeat business across all sectors, including education, healthcare, and more.
- Client Relationship Management: Manage the client relationship and service delivery on a project-by-project basis, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
- Contract Administration: Use and apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry issues and developments in best practice, including quality, health, safety, and environmental management.
- Framework Management: Deliver commissions under framework agreements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Defect Analysis and Reporting: Conduct building surveys, produce professional reports, and specifications to identify defects and recommend solutions.
- Project Coordination: Understand the principles of quality, health, safety, and environmental management within the management of projects.
- Contract Administration: Manage and administer contracts for larger projects, ensuring compliance and efficient delivery.
- Due Diligence and Condition Surveys: Conduct due diligence and condition surveys to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Design and Project Leadership: Design and lead small to medium-sized construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Professional Services: Provide professional services, including party walls, asset management, and statutory applications.
- Education: BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying, RICS Accredited degree.
- Professional Membership: Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Experience: Good all-round surveying experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients.
- Project Management: Experience of both pre and post-contract project management responsibilities, with the ability to deliver this service effectively to clients.
- Travel: Prepared to travel as required, with a valid driver's license.
- IT Skills: Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, and AutoCAD, with experience of NBS and Revit an advantage.
- BIM Level 2: Understanding of BIM level 2, with the ability to manage and develop team members, including mentoring of APC graduates.
- Client Management: Experience of managing clients and their expectations, with a strong ability to communicate effectively.
- Compliance: Comply with all legal, professional, and corporate compliances for all work carried out.
