About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing a range of building surveying duties across various projects in different sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake feasibility studies, produce specifications, obtain estimates, obtain statutory approvals, and administer contracts for refurbishment projects.
  • Use and apply standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Mentor and train junior Building Surveyors in the APC programme.
  • Support senior managers in their day-to-day activities.
  • Line manage junior Building Surveyors.
  • Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services, and manage schemes in the Southwest East Region.
  • Assist in the development of fee proposals and contribute to bids.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is a B.Sc. (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar degree accredited by RICS, with Chartered status essential/highly desirable. You should have sound technical surveying knowledge and significant building surveying experience, as well as experience managing clients and their expectations, coupled with a strong understanding of profitability, business development, and sound commercial awareness.
