Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in the Marine sector. The ideal candidate will have a background in the marine industry or a mechanical engineering discipline and strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role involves occasional customer field visits, overseas travel, and attendance at trade exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare technical offers and quotations from customer inquiries
* Develop inquiries, build a sales pipeline, and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
* Efficiently manage and monitor customer queries
* Communicate with customers to offer solutions and promote the most suitable product offerings
* Foster harmonious working relationships with other areas of the company, including daily dialogue with the manufacturing team
Requirements:
* Preferably a background in the marine industry or a mechanical engineering discipline
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship building
* Highly accurate, disciplined, and capable of managing a diverse workload
* Energy, enthusiasm, and ambition, with a drive to excel in challenging situations
* Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
* Strong numerical skills and the ability to problem-solve
* Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently without constant supervision
* Hold a current UK driving license
* Ideally located within a 20-mile commuting radius of Newton Abbot
