Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Newton Abbot

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, expected to be in the low to mid £30s

About the Role:
As a leading manufacturer and supplier of marine propulsion equipment, we are seeking a sales engineer to support our next phase of expansion. The role involves occasional customer field visits, overseas travel, and attendance at trade exhibitions.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare technical offers and quotations from customer inquiries
Develop inquiries, build a sales pipeline, and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
Efficiently manage and monitor customer queries
Communicate with customers to offer solutions and promote the most suitable product offerings
Foster harmonious working relationships with other areas of the company, including daily dialogue with the manufacturing team

Requirements:
Preferably a background in the marine industry or a mechanical engineering discipline
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship building
Highly accurate, disciplined, and capable of managing a diverse workload
Energy, enthusiasm, and ambition, with a drive to excel in challenging situations
Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
Strong numerical skills and the ability to problem-solve
Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently without constant supervision
Hold a current UK driving license
Ideally located within a 20-mile commuting radius of Newton Abbot
