Job Title: Account Sales Engineer

At Absolute Sales, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team in the Marine sector. As a leading manufacturer and supplier of marine propulsion equipment, we serve all sectors of the industry.

About the Role:

We are looking for a sales engineer to support our next phase of expansion. The role involves occasional customer field visits, overseas travel, and attendance at trade exhibitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare technical offers and quotations from customer inquiries
  • Develop inquiries, build a sales pipeline, and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Efficiently manage and monitor customer queries
  • Communicate with customers to offer solutions and promote the most suitable product offerings
  • Foster harmonious working relationships with other areas of the company, including daily dialogue with the manufacturing team
Requirements:
  • Preferably a background in the marine industry or a mechanical engineering discipline; need to have experience working within a technical/engineering-related environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship building
  • Highly accurate, disciplined, and capable of managing a diverse workload
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and ambition, with a drive to excel in challenging situations
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to problem-solve
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Hold a current UK driving license
  • Ideally located within a 20-mile commuting radius of Newton Abbot
