About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Project Engineer to join our team at Pertemps Falkirk. As an Associate Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the various stages of development for projects and preparing procedures and reports to ensure the progression and efficiency of each project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the technical setup and operation of each project, including the preparation and correspondence of construction and environmental method statements, and other documentation as required.
  • Assist in undertaking investigations as required.
  • Prepare technical specifications, calculations, and designs for CAD documentation, and support the interpretation of customers' technical specifications.
  • Assist with the design and documentation of civil and structural components of a project.
  • Evaluate, organize, and prioritize work within the overall project schedule.
  • Assist with the management of costs and schedules to ensure they are within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Prepare daily progress reports while offshore, including grouting, client, and other relevant information.
  • Interpret clients' requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems, and ensure solutions are implemented.
  • Provide supervision for grouting operations, including mechanics and technicians on and offshore, and assist with the management of subcontractors.
  • Produce timesheets in a timely manner and ensure the accurate recording of hours while offshore.
  • Support reviews and assist with the resolution of any issues that may arise from project engineering reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and safety policies and procedures while on and offshore.
Requirements
  • Excellent understanding of Human Factors and their role in incident prevention.
  • Thorough understanding of behavioral-based safety systems.
  • Proactive, able to work autonomously within tight timescales, managing multi-disciplined projects and tasks.
  • Computer literate and understanding of Microsoft and IT packages.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong supporter of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Adaptable and willing to travel.
Qualifications and Experience
  • MEng or BEng in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Basic Pro Engineer/CAD training (desirable).
  • Previous experience working within an offshore organization (desirable).
  • OGUK Medicals (training can be provided).
