A new position has opened up for a skilled AOV & Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding team at Fire Design Solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the servicing, breakdown cover, and testing of electrical and fire alarm systems across a wide variety of client sites.

The role requires the maintaining of fire alarm systems and smoke venting systems on occupied developments and emergency call-out basis in line with contracted expectations. In order to successfully carry out this role, you will require an understanding of smoke ventilation systems, inverters, dampers, and detection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining of Fire Alarm and AOV systems
  • Good knowledge of BS5839, BS5266 & BS7671
  • Offering a comprehensive service to our customers in accordance with British Standards
  • Inclusion on out of hours call out rota
  • Ability to work from schematics and drawings
  • Ability to fault find issues
  • Liaise with development on site Concierge / Building managers, Property managers, Design, Project Management and Installation and Commissioning departments
  • Ongoing job role administration
