Job Title: Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel in Canary Wharf, East London.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective maintenance management of all Engineering and Maintenance operations within the Hotel Property, including Energy Conservation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Engineering Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel
  • Communicating with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities
  • Developing systems and procedures to ensure full compliance of Health and Safety of Guests and Employees
  • Preparing Capital and Repairs and Maintenance budgets for Engineering
  • Performing daily checks around the Hotel Property
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment within the Hotel Property
  • Ensuring good relationships are built with internal and external Customers and Suppliers
  • Developing, implementing, and directing all emergency programs
  • Developing, implementing, and managing energy conservation programs for the property
  • Coordinating renovation bidding and overseeing the general contractor and subcontractors
  • Performing special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 full years of experience in being a Maintenance Manager in a 5* Luxury Hotel Property or a proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager looking to step up their position
  • Solid knowledge of Opera
  • A good understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Carpentry concepts
  • The ability to respond to emergencies when not physically in the Hotel Property
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
