NHS Professionals Limited is offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner/Clinical Psychologist within the Youth Justice Service at Salford CAMHS. This role offers the chance to work across the Salford Youth Justice Service and the Salford Community CAMHS team, delivering high-quality, needs-led, evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, Nursing (RMN/RSCN), Social Work, or Occupational Therapy, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health assessments and interventions. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-agency team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver mental health assessments and interventions to children, young people, and their families.
  2. Provide consultation to colleagues within Youth Justice and to wider networks such as social care, Greater Manchester Police and courts.

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service. They will also be expected to participate in on-call rotas and attend meetings and training sessions as required.
