Position Overview
We are seeking to appoint a Lead Nurse Practitioner to enhance our newly established Urgent Treatment service. Are you a qualified nurse with a minimum of two years' experience in a band 6 Nurse/Paramedic Practitioner role within an Accident & Emergency setting? Do you possess a degree or are you currently pursuing a degree in advanced practice? Have you completed A&E radiology training and possess evidence of specialized courses that demonstrate your capability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with various illnesses or injuries? It is essential that you have completed an in-house training module for nurse practitioners or a relevant course for an Emergency Care Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a band 7 Lead Nurse Practitioner with demonstrated leadership abilities who can collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established standards. This role may be part-time or full-time, and the department operates in a dynamic and diverse environment. We seek highly motivated individuals who are adaptable to clinical changes and can manage shift patterns across our Urgent Treatment Centres. You should be capable of working independently, making quick decisions, and taking ownership of the unit while being open to developing and expanding your clinical expertise.
Working Hours
The service operates seven days a week, with opening hours from 8 am to 8 pm for Minor Injuries.
