Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Premises Manager to join our team at Russell King Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the premises function, overseeing work across our sites.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage daily operations, including maintenance, cleaning, and security services.
- Plan the use of materials and team resources to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee health and safety policies, security systems, and contract work.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety law, fire and building regulations.
- Manage the BrightSafe Health and Safety system and train staff.
- Oversee health and safety site audits and ensure recommendations are actioned.
- Ensure efficient systems are in place, including CCTV, access control systems, intruder alarm system, fire alarm system.
- Carry out daily/monthly/annual checks to ensure site safety and maintain records.
- Liaise with other service providers to ensure compliance with centre's H&S policies.
- Responsible for overall security arrangements and keyholding management.
- Support wider teams in ensuring risk assessments meet compliance and regulation.
- Oversee work carried out by contractors and ensure alignment to SLA's and contractual obligations.
- Supervise or carry out general repairs and maintenance to upkeep site buildings and outdoor areas.
- Ensure relevant staff receive training, including manual handling, COSHH, Fire Marshall, PAT testing, etc.
- Experience of overseeing a team and guiding/coaching staff.
- Experience of providing general site services, including maintenance, cleaning, plumbing, electrical building maintenance, PAT Testing, heating systems, and groundwork.
- Understanding of the needs of children, parents, and staff.
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of ICT, including using the internet and Microsoft office suite.
- Certificate in Health and Safety in the workplace or similar (or commitment to work towards).
- Able to cultivate effective relationships with a wide range of people.
- Fluent spoken and written English and the right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and suitable Disqualification by Association record.
- Valid UK driving license and use of own car essential for the role.
