Program Overview

Capstone Investment Advisors' 5 Summer Internship is a 10-week program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in quantitative risk management. As a Data Analyst Quantitative Risk, you will work closely with the Risk Management Team to identify, quantify, and evaluate risks across various asset classes.

The program includes educational sessions led by senior leadership, team-building exercises, and opportunities to develop relationships within the firm. At the end of the summer, you will present your project to the senior leadership team and participate in a send-off lunch to close out the program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Risk Management Team to measure, monitor, and manage risks
  • Develop and maintain tools for risk management and analytics
  • Communicate risks to trading and technology teams

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in Financial Engineering
  • Experience in writing Python code (Pandas, NumPy, sklearn, dash, plotly, flask, Django)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to find creative solutions to problems

Salary Information

The hourly rate for this internship is $35 USD per hour, based on industry standards and location.
