Job Opportunity:
  We are seeking a skilled Senior Technical Manager to lead our engineering team in the Integrated Mission Solutions sector of the EW line of business. As an integral part of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and management to teams consisting of Project Engineering Leads, Systems and Software engineers.
  The Role:
  In this exciting opportunity, you will work closely with the Systems Design Authority (SDA) and Head of Engineering to identify, develop, deliver, and support technical solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to develop all members of your team, providing mentoring, coaching, setting objectives, and appraising their performance.
  Your Key Responsibilities:
  * Leading all engineering aspects of product/project development to ensure technical quality, schedule, and budget are maintained.
  * Managing cross-site, multi-disciplined engineering teams, defining roles within the teams, and ensuring good communication internally with the Engineering IPT.
  * Creating positive working relationships with internal and external customers and partners to deliver product/project capability.
  * Establishing and maintaining good lines of communication with the SDA, ensuring they are fully informed on technical progress, risk, and mitigation strategies.
  * Controlling project configuration and change management to maximize design reuse.
  * Supporting supplier management and project make-or-buy decisions.
  Requirements:
  * Experience in delivering engineering projects.
  * Ability to produce clear, concise engineering plans.
  * Commercial and business awareness.
  * Willingness to travel within the UK and possibly overseas.
  Desirable Skills:
  * Engineering or scientific degree qualification (or equivalent).
  * Experience of working across the full engineering development lifecycle.
  * Knowledge of requirements elicitation, definition, and qualification of software products.
