PMLD Teacher Role with Excellent Career Prospects

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PMLD Teacher to join our client school in Waltham Forest.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and care to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
You will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment, enabling each student to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with PMLD.
- Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with other professionals.
- Teaching Strategies and Resources: Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students.
- Progress Monitoring and Feedback: Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Classroom Environment: Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and social skills.
- Teamwork: Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Interagency Collaboration: Liaise with external agencies and professionals to support the holistic development of students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Equivalent: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience Working with PMLD Students: Experience working with students with PMLD or similar complex needs.
- SEN Best Practices and Teaching Strategies: Strong understanding of SEN best practices and teaching strategies.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Inclusive Learning Environment: Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Patient, Empathetic, and Passionate: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
