Payroll Manager

Portfolio Payroll is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll function on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a portfolio of clients, reconciling payroll to client data, and supporting team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients
- Reconcile payroll to client data
- Support team members
- Prepare payroll journals
- Reconciliations
- Prepare BACS files
- Administer Pension Auto-enrolment
- Produce and distribute pension scheme returns
- Deal effectively with queries from clients
- Assist with onboarding new clients
Requirements:
- Confident in a sole role
- Able to calculate tax, NI, pensions, etc. manually
- Good working knowledge of statutory payments
- Excellent communication skills
- MS Office (intermediate Excel)
