About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of the organisation's procurement and supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and sustainability goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the organisation's Supply Chain Strategy, ensuring compliance with UK procurement regulations and a focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.
  • Overseeing supplier engagement, contract management, and governance to ensure cost efficiency and compliance across all procurement activities.
  • Leading strategic negotiations on high-value and high-risk contracts, ensuring value for money while aligning with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers and stakeholders, to enhance procurement processes and align with the business plan.
  • Providing leadership to the procurement team, ensuring continuous development, training, and mentorship.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • MCIPS qualification or MSc in Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience managing procurement in both the public and private sectors, with a strong background in contract law, category management, and supply chain management.
  • Proven track record in leading procurement strategies, negotiating major contracts, and delivering business objectives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and drive innovation in procurement practices.
