Audit and Accounts Manager Position

TPF Recruitment is seeking an experienced and ambitious Audit and Accounts Manager to join our team at a successful and well-established chartered accountancy practice in the UK. As an Audit and Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accountancy and tax services, supporting a varied portfolio of clients, and leading audits from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accountancy and tax services to clients, including auditing SME-sized limited companies and providing taxation advice and support.
  • Support a varied portfolio of clients, including NFP clients in the education, charity, and academy sectors.
  • Lead audits from planning through to completion, liaising with the team and client where necessary.
  • Host and conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients, providing accountancy and taxation advice and support as necessary.
  • Lead and manage a small team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, mentoring them to review their work and encourage prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
  • Develop and expand the team's skillset through development plans and training and support.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements
  • Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience in practice.
  • Experience in accounts preparation, auditing SME-sized limited companies, taxation (corporate, business & personal).
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills.
  • Good computer skills.
