We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Adolescent Community Treatment Service (ACTS) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to young people in the community, as an alternative to inpatient admission.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with experience in assessing and managing risk in complex patients. You will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessments, including risk assessments, and developing evidence-based treatment plans for young people under your care. You will also work closely with the inpatient and bed management teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric assessments, including risk assessments, for young people referred to and under the care of ACTS.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for young people under your care.
- Work closely with the inpatient and bed management teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Provide consultation, advice, and support to professionals in the wider network of the young person and/or family.
- Co-ordinate multi-agency packages of care, treatment, and support for young people and their families with complex mental health problems.
