Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Tamworth. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to a KS2 child with SEN needs, helping them to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

The SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with the child, their family, and the school staff to provide targeted academic and pastoral support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with primary age children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to the KS2 child with SEN needs
  • Build rapport with the child and help shape their future
  • Work with individual students or small groups to provide targeted academic and pastoral support
  • Help prepare classroom materials and resources
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support the overall well-being of our school community
Requirements:
  • Experience working with primary age children
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Have a DBS Certificate on the Update Service / Willing to obtain one
