SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Pro1 Education is committed to providing exceptional educational support, empowering every child to reach their full potential. We are seeking an experienced SEN practitioner to join a highly rated school in Tamworth, supporting a student with ADHD and challenging behavior. This is a fixed-term contract for the right candidate, with the potential to extend into the next academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a student with ADHD
  • Assist the student in accessing the curriculum
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to implement individual education plans
  • Support the student with daily tasks and activities
  • Offer emotional support and manage behavior within established guidelines
  • Contribute to creating a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working in a UK educational setting
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3 preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SEND within education
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children
