We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Tamworth, supporting a student with ADHD and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a student with ADHD, promoting their access to the curriculum and enhancing their learning experience.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, tailored to the student's needs.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans, ensuring the student's goals and objectives are met.
  • Support the student with daily tasks and activities, fostering their independence and confidence.
  • Employ behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience working within a UK educational setting.
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3 preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND within education.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
