We are currently seeking an experienced SEND practitioner to join our team at an OFSTED rated 'GOOD' school in Tamworth, supporting a student with ADHD and challenging behaviour.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to the student with ADHD, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can participate fully in class activities.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the student's emotional and academic well-being.
  • Assist in implementing the student's individual education plan, ensuring their needs are met and their progress is monitored.
  • Support the student with daily tasks and activities, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Provide emotional support and manage behaviour within behaviour management guidelines, ensuring the student feels safe and supported.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working within a UK educational setting
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3 preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SEND within education
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children
