We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to join our team at the University of Oxford. As a Senior Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our animal research facility and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and research integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to research teams, including animal care and husbandry, laboratory maintenance, and equipment operation.
- Develop and implement procedures for animal handling, care, and welfare, in accordance with University policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with research teams to design and implement experiments, and provide technical expertise to ensure successful outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for research staff and students on animal handling and care.
- Ensure compliance with University policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the Animals Scientific Procedures Act 1986.
