Senior CAD Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Technician to join our Project and Building Consultancy team in Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing project delivery, CAD drafting, and designing, as well as assisting the CAD Manager with resource management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support surveyors and engineers in technical aspects of projects
  • Represent the project and building consultancy department internally and to clients
  • Monitor quality control of drawing production in Oxford
  • Support CAD requirements in London and other offices
  • Ensure engineering specifications and procedures are followed
  • Generate Revit models for projects managed using BIM
  • Liaise with surveyors and engineers to forecast workload and resources required
  • Participate in client design meetings as needed
  • Be aware of all client design requirements
  • Use Autodesk software to create 2D/3D designs for complex projects
  • Take accurate site measurements from inception to construction to ensure accuracy of information produced
  • Translate design concepts into CAD models
  • Ensure all work is produced accurately to standards in a timely and efficient manner
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and engineering standards
Requirements
  • Relevant degree
  • Excellent CAD/BIM drafting skills using Autodesk software
  • Proven track record of undertaking CAD projects
