About the Role
Hays Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Manager to join their growing Tax team. As a leading firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, they provide consultancy and planning skills to complement traditional auditing, accounting, tax, and financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Control a portfolio of clients, monitoring work-in-progress and client costs
- Plan jobs, instruct juniors, and review their work, ensuring constructive feedback
- Undertake and supervise tax compliance and advisory work, requiring final review only
- Provide effective tax planning advice to clients, both directly and through Audit and Accounts team portfolio managers
- Display proactive awareness of current relevant legislation, compliance standards, and potential advantages, relating them to client situations
- Assist with proposals and presentations to potential clients
Requirements
- CTA qualified with over two years post-qualified experience
- A tax background including both compliance and advisory experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and providing tax planning advice
- A thorough understanding of UK taxes applicable to small and medium-sized enterprises and their owners, particularly companies and individuals
