Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Quality Assurance Expert will be responsible for inspecting assembled parts for imperfections and nonconformities, reviewing parts against blueprints and process sheets, and testing electrical components using an ohm meter, ruler, and micrometer.


Estimated Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.


About the Position:

This position requires a strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize measurement and testing equipment to assure quality of products.
  • Identify and document non-conforming parts.
  • Inspect raw materials and purchased parts.
  • Use statistical process control and quality control techniques.
  • Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.
  • Utilize proper PPE and follow safety procedures.
  • Assist support functions in root cause analysis.
  • Proactively improve efficiency and quality of products.
  • Cross-train other employees.
  • Complete labor tracking documentation.
  • Report problems to appropriate resource.
  • Communicate with team about product deficiencies and new processes.
  • Participate in and support team initiatives.
  • Understand and abide by GE Leadership behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform electrical test methods.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Ability to pass visual acuity exam.
  • Ability to obtain Braze, Weld and Solder inspection certification.
