Special Educational Needs Support Specialists

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate support assistants to provide valuable interventions for children with Special Educational Needs in the Newcastle area. This is a long-term opportunity to work with a dynamic team at Protocol Education, a supply agency offering both short-term and long-term roles in Early Years, Primary, Secondary, and Special Needs education.
About the Role
This position involves working with young people who exhibit challenging behaviours or have social, emotional, and mental health needs. As a support assistant, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one and group support to these students, helping them overcome their challenges and achieve their academic and pastoral goals.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK within the last 3 years. You should also hold up-to-date childcare-related references covering the last 2 years and have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. A valid, recognized qualification is also essential.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is £22-£28 per hour, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Please note that all pay rates quoted will be dependent on your experience and qualifications. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
