About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Anaesthetic Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective anaesthetic services to patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in the consultant on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support and expertise as needed.
- Contribute to the development of clinical and organisational protocols, ensuring our service remains at the forefront of best practice.
- Engage in teaching, examination, and accreditation duties, supporting the education and development of junior medical staff.
- Participate in medical audit, clinical governance, and continuing professional development, ensuring our service remains up-to-date and compliant with the latest standards.

Requirements
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register, with eligibility for entry in Anaesthesia.
- FRCA or equivalent qualification.
- Recent experience and technical skills relevant to the role, with the ability to maintain clinical credibility and authority.
- Up-to-date Advanced Life Support and EPLS or equivalent.
- Completed specialist training in the UK.
