Anaesthetist Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Anaesthetist to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our anaesthetic service.
Main Responsibilities- Provide safe, effective, and efficient anaesthetic care to patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in the consultant on-call rota, ensuring seamless coverage and continuity of care.
- Contribute to the professional supervision and management of junior medical staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Organise and participate in teaching, examination, and accreditation duties for undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education activities.
- Engage in medical audit, clinical governance, and research activities, applying evidence-based medicine to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register, eligible for entry in Anaesthesia.
- FRCA or equivalent qualification.
- Recent experience and technical skills relevant to meeting all aspects of the job plan.
- Ability to maintain clinical credibility and authority with a multi-professional team.
- Up-to-date Advanced Life Support and EPLS or equivalent.
- Completed specialist training in the UK.
