We are seeking qualified educators who share our passion for delivering high-quality support to children and young people with Special Education Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs.

Your primary responsibility as an Education Support Specialist will be to provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people referred to us by local authorities and schools. These individuals require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey. You will work in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise their engagement and improve the outlook of their educational journey.

About the Role
  • This is a part-time position that offers flexible hours to suit your schedule.
  • You will have opportunities to take on remote jobs and online teaching assignments, allowing you to work from home.
  • Our organization provides extensive CPD and upskilling opportunities, including access to the full Tes CPD suite.
  • As an Education Support Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated SEN/SEND Support Team that ensures every placement is a success for the young person and you.

We believe in the importance of ongoing professional development and offer regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status/QTS/QTLS).
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • Experience working with young people with SEN, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs.
  • An Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed).

It is essential to have the ability to work in a way that promotes the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

The salary for this position is approximately £25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is not a self-employed tutoring/self-employed teaching position; instead, you will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE.

We welcome applications from highly skilled and compassionate educators who share our vision of transforming education for vulnerable learners. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, please submit your CV outlining your relevant skills and experience.
