Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Tiling and Stonework

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Keston. As a Quantity Surveyor - Tiling and Stonework, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the preparation of tender and contract documents, including electronic taking off quantities.
  2. Measure and carry out take-offs from drawings/specifications, applying rates, calculating, and completing pricing schedules.
  3. Keep up to date with site progress through Operations Manager, Site/Project Managers, recording progress made, and transferring information onto monthly payment applications.
  4. Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters.
  5. Deal with subcontract applications and negotiate subcontractor price.
  6. Update any changes to the agreed contract scope.
  7. Keep track of application figures and ensure relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints.
  8. Build strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  9. Work on projects varying in size from £10k to £2m.
Requirements:
  1. Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the UK construction market sector.
  2. Experience within the flooring, tiling, or fitout market sector is ideal.
  3. Excellent communication skills across all levels, both written and verbal.
  4. IT literate (Microsoft Office).
  5. Strong numerical and negotiation skills.
  6. High levels of organisation and attention to detail.
  7. Presentable, humble, enthusiastic & self-motivated.
