Job Title: Clinical Administration Specialist

Location: Bedford, UK

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Administration Specialist to provide an efficient and effective reception service to our private patients at Bedford Hospital. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for ensuring all data and documentation is accurately recorded and filed in accordance with Trust Information Governance Policy.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills, customer care experience, and a high level of adaptability. You will work closely with consultants, clinical teams, and insurance companies to ensure seamless administration processes.

This role involves:

  • Maintaining accurate records of private patients on the Trust's information management systems.
  • Providing administrative support to the department, including managing correspondence and filing documents.
  • Ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted to relevant authorities.
  • Working with insurance companies to secure pre-authorisation for treatments.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Educated to A Level
  • High level of verbal and written skills
  • Customer Care experience
  • Previous NHS or Private Patient Experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage own workload

Salary Range: £23,615 per annum (pro rata)
