Job Title: Maintenance Team Member

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Bupa Global. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our care homes and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the care home remains functional and safe for residents and visitors.
  2. Contribute to the management of the maintenance budget and take the lead on maintenance projects as required.
  3. Perform ad-hoc internal decoration of accessible areas to maintain a high standard of presentation.
  4. Report unrepairable defects to management and escalate or seek specialist repair if necessary.
  5. Ensure all health and safety and compliance checks are carried out to deadlines and all policies and guidelines are adhered to at all times.
  6. Work on call as and when required to support the care home outside of hours.
Requirements:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Member who holds a building/electrical/plumbing qualification or has a minimum of 3 years' experience in a property maintenance or general repairs role. Previous experience in a site management role and experience managing consultants, contractors, and contracted suppliers would be advantageous.

You will have a good understanding of building services including heating, hot and cold-water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing. You will be able to work flexibly to meet demands and be happy to help the wider team. You will enjoy working with others and building relationships with our residents.
