Job Title: Accommodation Maintenance Team Member

Join Caridon Group as an Accommodation Maintenance Team Member and play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our residential properties.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance, and property voids in relation to all residential properties owned and managed by Caridon Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with contractors and cleaners to bring properties up to a habitable state, repair, paint, and clean as necessary.
  2. Work closely with the maintenance team to identify and report maintenance issues within properties and buildings.
  3. Communicate with tenants to log maintenance issues and provide updates on progress.
  4. Inspect properties and report to the Manager as required.
  5. Identify damages caused by tenants and work with the Manager to ensure a good upkeep of all rented properties.
  6. Attend bailiff appointments to establish property condition and provide feedback to management.
  7. Prepare check-out reports and assist in ensuring tenants are held accountable for damages.
  8. Prepare condition reports as required by the management team.
  9. Attend to all maintenance issues, ascertain the cause, and resolve the issue.
  10. Coordinate with tenants to access properties for works and resolve issues, ensuring letters are sent and the Arthur system is updated.
  11. Ensure all work is completed to a satisfactory standard, leaving tenants happy and content, with notes and pictures uploaded onto the Arthur system and a weekly report sent to head office.
  12. Move furniture and equipment as instructed.
  13. Perform inspections to ensure hazardous conditions are addressed.
  14. Assist in carrying out preventative maintenance programs.
  15. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs and repairing doors/windows.
  16. Be proficient in assembling furniture and equipment, replacing door handles, locks, and window latches.
  17. Have experience in handling garbage disposal activities, collecting and removing garbage and recyclable materials safely.
  18. Have hands-on experience in general repair and maintenance tasks, including cleaning grounds, scrubbing floors, dusting furniture, and disposing of trash.
  19. Be knowledgeable of safety guidelines related to maintenance work.
  20. Perform minor repairs of electricity sockets.
  21. Treat sinks, floors, and tiles with disinfectants.
  22. Assist in basic repairs to the building, including painting, installing/replacing light bulbs, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
  23. Pick up supplies from local vendors.
  24. Ensure a 24-48 hour void turnaround from the date of the void reported.

Must hold a full clean driving license.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with one Saturday per month.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
