Automotive Workshop Manager

At Petrasco Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Workshop Controller to join our team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with our organization's HSEQ policy and procedures, and enforce adherence to these requirements.
  • Verify that all personnel are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper use.
  • Manage fabrication and machining projects in production, allocating resources, equipment, and work areas effectively.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects within budgeted man-hours.
  • Review and verify timesheets to ensure accuracy and correct job allocation.
  • Notify Project Responsible Persons (PRPs) when projects are ready for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or Painting, Lining, and Treatment (PLT).
  • Conduct inspections of components prior to coating or delivery.
  • Optimize coating activities to maximize facility efficiency.
  • Ensure that plant, equipment, and production tools are available, maintained, calibrated, and serviced.
  • Participate in meetings with other company functions to contribute to business and organizational development.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of tasks to the night shift team, ensuring all personnel are productive.
  • Be prepared to perform additional tasks and work extended hours as needed to meet customer requirements.

  • Initiative and ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • High level of analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Effective people management skills.

This is a 39-hour per week position, spread over 5 days or a 4-day condensed week with a Friday off, or paid as overtime. Hourly pay will be based on knowledge and previous experience.
