Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse Opportunity

Spire Cardiff Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse to join their well-established team on a part-time basis. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expertise in the assessment and management of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide complex and sensitive information to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills in areas of cardiac catheterization and cardiology.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive work environment that promotes patient-centered care and staff well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism within the team.

Requirements

  • Essential: Registered Nurse (NMC registration), Post-registered qualification in an appropriate clinical cardiac specialism, Experience in circulating and scrubbing for cardiac cath lab procedures, ILS, and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Desirable: Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to complex patient case mixes, Challenging consultants to influence evidence-based practice, and sharing evidence-based practices with colleagues.
