Job Summary

Spire Cardiff Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse to join their well-established team on a part-time basis. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the assessment and management of patients with cardiac conditions.
  • Collaborate with consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide complex and sensitive information to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge and practice in cardiology.
  • Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practice within the specialty of cardiology.
  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements
  • Essential: Registered nurse (NMC registration), post-registered qualification in an appropriate clinical cardiac specialism, experience in circulating and scrubbing for cardiac cath lab procedures, and competence in all aspects of cardiac cath lab.
  • Desirable: Experience of working in partnership with consultants, participating in creating innovative solutions for the service, and possessing equipment and medical devices competencies.
