Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse to join our team at Spire Cardiff Hospital. As a Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective care plans for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on cardiac health and wellness
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
  • Post-registration qualification in a relevant clinical specialty (e.g. cardiology, critical care)
  • Experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or similar environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
  • Basic life support certification
