Job Title: Senior Children Services Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Senior Children Services Practitioner to join our team at the London Borough of Croydon. As a key member of our Children's Services team, you will play a vital role in providing leadership and expertise in the assessment and support of children and families.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Children Services Practitioner will provide leadership and expertise in the assessment and support of children and families. This will involve working closely with other professionals to develop and implement effective plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide leadership and expertise in the assessment and support of children and families.
  2. Develop and implement effective plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  3. Work closely with other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.
  4. Provide training and support to other staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  5. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of Children's Services.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Social Worker with up-to-date registration with Social Work England.
  2. Foundation level systemic practice qualification desirable.
  3. Practice Educator or Practice Teacher qualification desirable.
  4. Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care.
  5. Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures.
  6. Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings.
  7. Able to maintain records that evidence our engagement with children and families.
