Senior Mental Health Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our CAMHS Urgent Help Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality crisis care to children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive crisis assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with young people, families, and carers.
  • Manage a small caseload of clients in crisis, utilizing your expertise in risk management and case management.
  • Communicate effectively with families and carers to ensure their needs are met and their involvement in care is facilitated.
  • Contribute to clinical policy development and lead on clinical matters, ensuring best practices are implemented.
  • Develop and participate in supervision structures to maintain clinical standards and team well-being.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the NMC/HCPC/SW England.
  • Experience in risk management and working in a fast-paced, varied role.
  • Adaptable, organized, compassionate, and a team player.
  • Experience working within a mental health setting, preferably in CAMHS or inpatient settings.
