Head of Marketing (8-Month Maternity Cover) - Global Membership Organisation

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Marketing to lead our high-performing marketing team and drive impactful marketing campaigns on a global scale.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the marketing strategy of a prestigious global membership body, enhancing engagement, awareness, and growth across our range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy that enhances our global value proposition and drives member engagement, in collaboration with the Director of Communications and External Affairs.
  2. Lead the marketing function across the organisation, ensuring consistency and alignment with the broader business goals.
  3. Shape marketing plans by consulting with internal and external stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities, and providing expert market intelligence.
  4. Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, promoting products, services, and membership benefits to a global audience.
  5. Maintain the management of digital platforms, including the website (content, navigation, SEO), to deliver a seamless, user-friendly experience.
  6. Maximise the return on marketing investments, ensuring campaigns align with organisational objectives and deliver measurable impact.
  7. Work with external agencies and third-party suppliers to produce high-quality marketing materials that resonate with members and stakeholders.
  8. Lead, manage, and motivate a talented marketing team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-impact campaigns and achieve key business objectives.
  9. Foster collaboration across departments, promoting cross-functional teamwork to ensure marketing efforts are fully integrated into the broader business strategy.
  10. Partner with the Head of Business Intelligence to leverage data and insights for optimising campaigns and improving marketing performance.
  11. Provide regular performance reports, analysing campaign effectiveness, return on investment, and member engagement, using these insights to inform future strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a relevant marketing qualification (CIM or similar).
  2. 5-7 years of experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  3. Proven ability to manage high-performing teams, with strong leadership and people management skills.
  4. Ideally you would have experience in non-for-profit, or membership organisations.
