Procurement Manager

A well-established client in Dunfermline is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee the end-to-end procurement process.
Key Responsibilities- Purchasing & Commodity Buying
Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, parts, and services at competitive prices. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery schedules. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives. - Stores & Inventory Control
Oversee stock levels, ensuring adequate supply without overstocking or running out of critical components. Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking of materials from receipt through production. Develop, implement, and optimize inventory management systems and processes. Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of goods and raw materials. - Vendor Management & Reporting
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. Prepare and present regular reports on procurement and inventory to senior management.
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Commodity Buyer, or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management and procurement processes.
- Proficient in ERP systems and inventory management software (Knowledge of SAGE would be desirable).
- Full Driving License as you will be required to visit suppliers.
