We are Ribbons and Reeves Limited, a leading education provider committed to delivering high-quality education services. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Newham.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our school community. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students who require additional help due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and possess a patient and understanding approach when working with children who may be experiencing emotional difficulties.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, develop your skills and experience, and contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop effective strategies to support students
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • A good understanding of SEMH principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Patient and empathetic approach when working with students
