About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager - Plastic Building Products to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and selling a range of plastic building products to distributors, merchants, housebuilders, developers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and sell plastic building products to distributors and merchants, including fascia and soffit, rainwater cladding, guttering, and panel products.
  • Stimulate demand and sell to housebuilders, developers, and contractors, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, with a turnover responsibility of circa £5m.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the construction industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, and customer service teams, to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales professional with a strong track record of success in the construction industry. You will have:

  • A proven ability to manage and sell to a range of customers, including distributors, merchants, housebuilders, developers, and contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of the construction industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • A strong work ethic, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
