Job Description

We are looking for an SEN Teacher to join our team at Papworth Hall School, a specialist school catering to students with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning difficulties.

This role involves creating a capable learning environment where students thrive, and ensuring access to positive interactions and high-quality teaching through effective use of resources and planning.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written English skills, be passionate about working with pupils with autism, and have a strong ability to build relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a capable learning environment that meets the needs of pupils with autism and associated learning difficulties.
  • Organise personalised learning activities and experiences to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Be responsible for planning, tracking, evaluating, assessing and reporting the teaching and learning of pupils.
  • Write and update Individual Outcomes to track pupil progress.
  • Supervise, develop and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £42,200 per annum based on location and experience.
