This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Telephone Interviewer for the University of Massachusetts Medical School's Office of Survey Research. The role involves conducting surveys via telephone, reading questions from a computer screen, and entering responses into the survey system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys by telephone and accurately enter responses into the survey system.
  • Follow research procedures and guidelines to obtain high-quality information.
  • Persuade reluctant respondents to participate in the survey.
  • Maintain confidentiality of respondent information according to HIPAA, University, and Office of Survey Research guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes and on-the-job training.
  • Support other staff members as directed and comply with established University policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in customer service or a related field is necessary.
  • You must have a quiet workspace with reliable WiFi connectivity to maintain confidentiality of survey information.
  • Excellent English language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking fluently.
  • Good typing skills are essential.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 based on location and experience.
