MCG Healthcare is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team. This full-time role offers a salary of £35,000 - £46,000 DOE.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing evidence-based practice for long-term condition management. This includes care for elderly and housebound patients.

Key duties include working as a senior member of the practice multidisciplinary team to deliver effective nursing services to the entitled patient population. The candidate will also manage clinical areas such as infection prevention and control, health promotion, chronic disease management, well women and well man clinics.

Supporting the practice management team in reviewing and delivering clinical policy and procedure is also essential.

Essential Qualifications
  • NMC Registration required.
  • Experience in chronic disease management, including diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory conditions.
  • Previous Practice Nurse experience within Primary Care.
  • Qualified smear taker.
  • Immunizations trained, including childhood immunizations.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience using EMIS.
  • Diabetes qualification.
  • Asthma/COPD qualification experience.
  • Travel health.
  • V300 Prescriber.
