About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Support Worker to join our team in the Youth Justice Service. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will work with young people aged 10-17 years old who are at risk of coming into contact with the criminal justice service.

Your primary focus will be on prevention and supporting the child and their family holistically to sustain positive outcomes. You will hold a caseload of young people referred into the service and carry out timely assessments to identify their needs.

You will create intervention plans to support your work with the young people, working within a multi-agency environment and collaborating with partners to ensure the child's voice is heard.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out regular interventions with the child and their family to meet their needs
  • Building professional and positive relationships with the child and their family to enable change and prevent offending behaviour
  • Working with young people and their families in schools and the community to deliver group work activities

  • Good writing and analytical skills
