PMO Project Controller – Bradford

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PMO Project Controller to join our team in Bradford. As a key member of the IT PMO team, you will be responsible for leading project finances and risk, as well as contributing to all aspects of PMO practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Leads in business case development and provide critical reviews on new project requests.
  • Advise Project Leads on cost estimates and provide proactive monitoring of project spend to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Lead portfolio process for cost forecasting and actual spend, providing accurate and timely data to align with Finance.
  • Provide insights on project budgets, assessing financial risks and variances to optimise the use of the overall portfolio budget.
  • Embed and run portfolio risk process, ensuring project risks are identified, owned, and actively managed, mitigated, or accepted.
  • Act as a critical friend to Heads of Transformation and Project Managers to ensure risks are captured, categorised, managed, or mitigated effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with MS Office, financial, project management, and reporting software.
  • Exceptionally well-organised with high attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with the ability to be objective and self-sufficient as required.
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment.
