About the Role
The role of a Teaching Assistant in a school for children with SEMH needs involves supporting children in the classroom to manage their own behaviour and emotions, engage with tasks, and reach their potential. Estimated salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum. Key skills required include engaging with young people, holding student attention, and promoting happiness and self-reliance. As a dynamic, resilient, and flexible individual, you'll work on learning activities, promote independence, and encourage pupils to become emotionally literate and effective communicators. Responsibilities include supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other disabilities.
